Ida Ruth Parks

Mrs. Ida Ruth Parks, age 86 of Homer died Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Mrs. Parks was born in Rocky Mount, GA to the late, Charles Marshall and Minnie Lee Rowe Garner. Mrs. Parks was a homemaker and attended Ridgeway Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Parks was also preceded in death by her husband, William Howard Parks.

Mrs. Parks is survived by her daughters, Gail Wilson of Homer, Regina Fincher of Juliette, GA, and Terri Parks of Commerce; sons, Charlie Parks of Jefferson and Chris Parks of Commerce; brother, Travis Garner of Newnan; sister, Nadine Thompson of Woodbury, GA; 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, Feb. 20 at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Manus officiating with the interment following at Sherwood Memorial Park Jonesboro, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday night from 6-9 PM.
