Mrs. Pauline Moore Nation, age 91 of 189 Peachtree Street, Toccoa, Georgia passed away Thursday, February 13, 2014 at the Stephens County Hospital.
A daughter of the late Lawrence Allen and Louanna Harris Moore, she was born February 9, 1923 in Franklin County, Georgia having lived most of her life in Stephens County, Georgia. She retired from Singer Furniture Company, was an avid gardener and was a member of Broad River Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nute Nation in 1998, by three brothers, Gordon Moore, Joe Moore and Sidney Beaty, and by six sisters, Eva Stancil, Blanche Roberts, Genia Looney, Mattie Andrews, Guynell Matthews and Evelyn Brown.
Survivors include nieces and caregivers, Mattie Ayers, Mary Nell Anderson, Martha Sheriff, Nancy Simmons and Barbara Moseley and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Sunday, February 16, 4 O'clock PM in the Hillcrest Chapel of Acree-Davis Funeral Home with the Reverend Gary Hulsey and the Reverend Truitt Brawner officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Jerry Defoor, Roger Sheppard, Joe Brown, Chris Haley and Roy Hyde.
The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Saturday from 6 PM to 8 PM.
