Daisy Jo Barnett Swearingen

Daisy Jo Barnett Swearingen, age 50 of Gainesville, passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at Emory University Hospital following a brief illness.


Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday, February 9, 2014 at 4:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with entombment to follow in Memorial Park Mausoleum. Dr. Jerry Gill will officiate. The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 9, 2014 from 2 - 4 pm, prior to the service at the funeral home.

Ms. Swearingen was born August 18, 1963 in Atlanta, Georgia to Joseph H. Barnett and Lola Jean Gore Barnett. She was a member of Lakewood Baptist Church and was preceded in death her father, Joseph H. Barnett.

Ms. Swearingen was survived by her daughters, Tesia Swearinen of Gainesville and Alisha Swearingen of Marietta, son, Wes Swearingen of Atlanta, her mother, Jean Barnett of Gainesville, granddaughters, Lillian Head, Autumn Head and Zoey Caratti, grandsons, Sebastian Caratti and Miles Hornsby, sisters, Kim Caudell of Fort Payne, Alabama and Payton Riesinger of Ellwood City, Pennsylvania and brother, Joseph Barnett of Evans City, Pennsylvania.
