Mrs. Florene Martin Allison, 99 of Gainesville died Tuesday February 4, 2014 at her residence.
A lifelong resident of Hall County, Mrs. Allison was the daughter of the late W.A.,Sr., and Mattie Villyard Martin. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist Faith.
Mrs. Allison is survived by her daughter, Mattie Allison Sampson, Blairsville; daughters and sons-in-law; Bonnie Allison Elrod and James Elrod, Judy Allison Edwards and Larry Edwards, all of Gainesville; special daughter-in-law, Wyndal Ravan Allison, Gainesville; son, Ronald Allison, Gainesville; she left behind 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren, brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Evelyn Martin, sister and brother-in-law, Bobbie Martin Thomas and Melvin Thomas, all of Gainesville, sisters-in-law, Ann Allison Woodall and Eva Dell Allison Hughes, both of Gainesville. Special caregivers she loved so well, Patsy Hall, Peggy Butler, Trish Forrester, Thelma Russell and Tim Allison.
Mrs. Allison is preceded in death by her parents,her loving husband, Haskel Allison, son, Richard Allison and son-in-law, Wymer Sampson, Jr.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday February 7, 2014 in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home. Rev. Steve Baker will officiate. Interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday February 6, 2014 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m.
