Charles Richard Metz

METZ, Charles Richard (Dick) of Sandy Springs, GA died January 29, 2014 at the age of 88. Born on June 20, 1925 in Mishawauka, Indiana and preceded in death by his parents Cecil E. and Annice Metz; brother Ralph Metz and sister Olive D. Metz. Dick married Donna Ruth Langdon on July 19, 1947. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving in WWII, and a member of Smoke Rise Baptist Church in Stone Mountain, GA. His career in food service included over 30 years in national and district food management for JC Penney Company. Dick was devoted to his wife and family. He will fondly be remembered for his sense of humor and willingness to help others. Faithfully serving in leadership positions over the years, Dick was a gentleman and a friend to all.
