Betty Jean Weatherford Braswell

A graveside service for Betty Weatherford Braswell, 86, was held Saturday, February 1, at the Collins First Baptist Church Cemetery in Collins, Georgia, with the Rev. Dr. Mary Leonard officiating.

Mrs. Braswell died January 24, 2014, in Sautee-Nacoochee at the residence of her daughter, Rebecca Braswell Botts, following an extended illness.

Born December 17, 1927 in Graymont, she was the daughter of the late Sumter Wesley Weatherford and Nancy Chance Weatherford. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her nine older siblings and her husband, George Eugene Braswell.

Survivors include daughters Kathryn Braswell Hochman (Steven) of Atlanta, Rebecca Braswell Botts (Kenneth), and grandchildren Hannah Kathryn Botts, Rachel Elizabeth Botts, and Joseph Robert Braswell Hochman.
