Dickson W. Mitchell,

Dickson W. Mitchell, 80, of Dawsonville, GA passed away Monday January 27, 2014 following a period of declining health.

Mr. Mitchell was born December 18, 1933 in New Castle, PA to the late Cecil and Margurite Mitchell. He was employed as manager of the Kroger in New Castle and later worked as store manager for Sam's Club. After his retirement, he moved to The Villages, Florida. He was a U. S. Army veteran and for many years was a member of the Masonic Lodge. Dickson was an avid Pittsburg Steeler fan and an avid golfer. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Gerry Mitchell; son, Scott Mitchell; and brother, Jack Mitchell.

Surviving are his daughter, Laura Bechara, Dawsonville; grandsons, Skott Bechara, Orlando, FL, Michael Bechara, Coconut Creek, FL; and a sister, Jackie Bush, New Castle, PA.

Funeral services will be held Friday February 7, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.
