Susan Mary Boshart

Susan Mary Boshart, 67 of Clayton changed her address to Heaven on January 26, 2014. She was born June 22, 1946 in Jersey City, NJ to the late Norman P. Jester and Flora Macdonell Jester. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her twin sister Sally Ann Feiden.



Sue is survived by her husband of 47 years, John Boshart of Clayton; son John Boshart, Jr. and wife Sara of Raleigh, NC; a daughter Marcia Owings and husband Matt of Silver Spring, MD; a son Brian Boshart and wife Danielle of Washington, DC; grandchildren Hayden Boshart, Alexander Boshart, Maddox Boshart, Brighton Boshart, Ethan Boshart and Hannah Owings; a brother Norman Jester and wife Lori of Odessa, FL; and a sister Lynne McGonigle and husband John of Acworth, GA.



Sue moved to Rabun County with her husband in 1993 from Oldsmar, Florida where she had worked several years in banking. She worked several years for Dr. John Woodward at the Clayton Veterinary Hospital. She also volunteered full time for one year with the Christian Appalachian Project in Berea, KY. Upon her retirement, she dedicated most of the rest of her life to the North Georgia Community Players, serving as their President for many years in addition to acting on stage and directing many plays. She loved to make people laugh and was good at doing so.



Sue was a member of Clayton First United Methodist Church, the Clayton Lions Club, served on the Rabun County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and was a member of the Rabun County Sheriff's Auxiliary.

The family will receive friends from 5 PM to 8 PM, Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at Beck Funeral Home. Services will be held 11 AM, Thursday, January 30, 2014 in the Beck Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kirk Bozeman officiating.
