Obituary Date: Monday, January 27, 2014

Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Mrs. Ruby Lee Palmer, age 94 of Cleveland. Mrs. Palmer passed away Monday, January 27, 2014.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00pm, Friday, January 31, 2014 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Dave Fortner and Rev. Dennis Turner officiating. Interment will follow in Gateway Memory Park

Ruby was born in Stephens County on July 6, 1919 to the late Roy Cash and Ethel Sosebee Cash. She retired for from Talon and was a member of the Cleveland First Baptist Church where she was active in the Hope Sunday School Class. She will be remembered for for the love she had for her family, which was the greatest joy in her life and for the delicious cakes she baked for her family her friends and her Sunday School Class dinners.

In addition to her parents, Ruby is preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Pern Palmer as well as sister, Lillie Mae Hefner and brother, Grady Cash and son in law, Frank Adams

She is survived by son and daughter in law, Arthur and Betty Palmer, Cleveland; daughter, Martha Adams of Marietta; sister, Ruth Fortner of Lugoff, South Carolina as well as 3 grandsons, 8 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and special friend, Leona Allen.

The family like to acknowledge the staff of Hospice of Northeast Georgia Medical Center for their unending care and compassion.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm
