Eugene Alvin Cantrell

Mr. Eugene Alvin Cantrell age 90 of Sautee passed away Saturday January 25, 2014 at Northeast Ga Medical Center.

Mr. Cantrell was born July 11, 1923 in White County the son of the late Charlie and Pearl Adams Cantrell. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Wanda Sutton, son, Richard Cantrell, granddaughter, Kasi Glover, grandson, Michael Sosebee, brother, Esco Cantrell, sisters, Laura Ballew, Fannie Sosebee, Aline Cook and Annie Lee Sosebee. Mr. Cantrell was a farmer and a Minister. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and a Veteran serving in the U.S. Army during WWll.

Survivors include his wife, Mildred Cantrell, Sautee; son, Jerry Cantrell, Sautee; son and daughter in law, Wayne and Robertta Cantrell, Suwanee; daughter and son in law, Donna and Hoyt Sosebee, Cleveland; daughter, Reta Cantrell, Toccoa; grandchildren, Angele Cantrell, Scott and Karen Cantrell, Andy Cantrell, Travis Cantrell, Curee and Adam Chance, Eric and Lynn Sosebee, Kim and Michael Robinson, Todd Lankford, Jill and Grady Barrett, Leslie Myers, Kayla Cantrell, Mandy Reinshagen; brother in law, W.F. Cook, Atlanta., and many great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 3:30 p.m. Monday January 27, 2014 at Bethel Baptist Church. The Rev. Shannon Rhodes will officiate. Interment will be in the Church Cemetery with military honors by the White County Honor Guard. Mr. Cantrell will lie in state 3-3:30 p.m. at the Church prior to the service.

The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
