Jerry Lynn Adams

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. Jerry Lynn Adams, age 71, of Jefferson, who passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2014. Mr. Adams was born in Toccoa, Georgia, a son to the late J.B. and Alma Jean Brown Adams. Mr. Adams was retired from Mack Berry Construction Company, where he was a heavy equipment operator and was a member of the Arcade Community Church. Mr. Adams was preceded in death by his brother, Olin Adams and sister, Frances Roach.
Survivors include his wife, Sarah Brock Adams, Jefferson, son, Timothy "Willie" Wilson, Jefferson, daughter, Lisa Baxter, Pendergrass, sisters, Peggy Hardigree, Jefferson, Betty Cody, Maysville, brothers, Ricky Adams, Commerce, Bob Adams, Martin, 2 grandsons, Terry "Scoot" Baxter Jr. and Nicholas "Wormdog" Baxter.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, January 26, 2014 at 2:00PM in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Rev. Palmer Pace and Rev. David Maddox officiating. The burial will follow in the Howington Cemetery in Nicholson with Dennis Hardigree, Daniel Hardigree, Terry (Scoot) Baxter, Nicholas Baxter, Cecil Land and Dave Martin honored as pallbearers. The visitation will be held on Saturday from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the funeral home.
