William Vincon Pardue

Mr. William Vincon Pardue age 73 of Cleveland, Ga passed away on Saturday January 18, 2014 at his residence following a brief illness.

Memorial services are scheduled for Tuesday January 21, 2014 at 2:00 p.m., services will be held in the Chapel of First Baptist Church. Reverend Elizabeth Burnette will officiate. The family will receive friends in the Parlor of the First Baptist Church after the service.

Mr. Pardue was born on June 24, 1940 in Cleveland, Ga to the late Grady Pardue and Mozelle Hefner Pardue. He was a retired general contractor and a member of First Baptist Church of Gainesville. Upon graduation from Georgia Tech, Vince was recruited by an architecture/structural engineering firm in Anchorage, Alaska. He returned to Gainesville in 1970. As co-owner of Alaska Southern Company, Inc., his primary business was commercial construction. Some of the most notable projects include, the current Hall County Board of Education Building (formerly Southern Bell), St. Michaels Catholic Church, and Corinth Baptist Church. His one residential project was a home for Mrs. Pearl Nix. He is preceded in death by his parents. One of his greatest joys was spending time with his grand-daughters, Anna and Morgan. He also loved everything about Alaska, constantly studying, reading, and learning about the state.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Erik and Mary Lina Pardue of Gainesville, Juanita Pardue of Cleveland, grand-daughters, Anna McKinley and Morgan Grace, brothers and sister-in-laws, Hal and Jean Pardue of Cleveland, Dan and Jeanette Pardue of Cleveland, Pearson and Ruth Pardue of Cleveland, Allan and Betty Pardue of Clermont, Kenneth and Linda Pardue of Frisco, Texas, Milton and Ann Pardue of Clarkesville.

In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to First Baptist Church of Gainesville "Our Faith our Future" 751 Green Street NW Gainesville, Georgia 30501.
