Mr. Lloyd David "Dave" Hulsey, 76 of Gainesville died Sunday January 12, 2014 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
A lifelong resident of Hall County, Mr. Hulsey was the son late Lloyd Homer and Anna Ruth Sheridan Hulsey. Mr. Hulsey was retired from Lockheed-Martin with over 35 years of service where he worked as an inspector and for the last 13 years he worked for Lanier R.C. He served in the United States Air Force for 8 years and was a member of the Murrayville Masonic Lodge #30 F & AM. Mr. Hulsey was a member of the Corinth Baptist Church.
An avid hunter and fisherman, Mr. Hulsey loved doing woodworking and photography, he also loved trains and radio control planes and was a member of the HAM Radio Club.
Survivors include his wife, Ann Wilson Hulsey, Gainesville; son and daughter-in-law; David Timothy and Teresa Hulsey, Clermont; daughter-in-law; Robin Hulsey, Gainesville; grandchildren, David Cody Hulsey and his girlfriend, Brandi Huffman, Amanda and Joey Kastner, Whitney Sullens, John and Jennifer Sargent, Bunnie and Eric Herbert, 8 great grandchildren, brothers and sisters-in-law; Dan and Martha Hulsey, Randall and Cindy Hulsey, Terry and Linda Hulsey, Jerry Hulsey, sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Todd Smith.
Mr. Hulsey is preceded in death by a son, Tony Hulsey, mother-in-law and father-in-law, Idell and D.T. Wilson.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday January 15, 2014 in the Little & Davenport Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Stacey Phillips will officiate. Interment will follow in the Alta Vista Cemetery with full masonic graveside rites. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday January 13, 2014 from 6-8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 2565 Thompson Bridge Road, Suite 114, Gainesville, Ga. 30501.
