Willonell Peeples

Mrs. Willonell Peeples passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on January 13 from 4:00-7:00PM. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at 11:00AM in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with Reverend Earl Pirkle and Reverend Sam Parsons officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Peeples was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Wilburn E. Peeples, her sisters Thelma Miller, Jeanette Schuler, Margaret Burtz and her brother, Lloyd Yopp. She is survived by her son Jim, daughter-in-law Cecelia, daughter Vicki and son-in-law Tony Edmonds, three grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Born August 10, 1920 in Jackson County, Georgia, Mrs. Peeples grew up in New Holland, Georgia. Married to her husband for 71 years, the couple spent most of their married life in Oakwood. Mrs. Peeples was a nurse at Hall County Hospital and also at the Health Department. For the past two years, she has resided at Smokey Springs Retirement Home. Strengthened by her unwavering faith in Christ, Mrs. Peeples lived her life with kindness and grace that never failed to comfort and uplift those in her presence.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be sent to Hospice at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
