Laura 'Haley' Loudermilk Wayne

Obituary Date: Wednesday, January 8, 2014

Laura "Haley" Loudermilk Wayne, 41, of Clayton, Georgia passed away January 8, 2014 at her residence. She was born in Habersham County, GA and was the daughter of the late Lylvia Thompson Mauney.

She is survived by her husband, Douglas MacArthur Wayne II, one son, Nathan Wayne; three daughters, Kayla Wayne, Brianna Wayne and Alea Wayne; one brother, Tommy Trotter; grandmother, Maudeen Free; mother and father-in-law, Doug and Linda of Tiger, GA. and two best friends, Shannon Carter and Lynn Sanders. She was also the granddaughter of the late Joseph Thompson.

Haley was a loving wife, and mother who enjoyed taking care of her family and her bulldog, Georgia Scholar. She was also a foster parent for many children and was a mentor for children in the High School Band and others. She was a member of the Rabun County Band Boosters and attended Liberty Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends at Beck Funeral Home from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Saturday, January 11, 2014. Funeral services will be held in the Beck Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM, Sunday, January 12, 2014 with Rev. Scott Cates officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Heights Cemetery in Mountain City, GA.
