Jewel Armstrong Maloney

Obituary Date: Wednesday, January 8, 2014

Jewel Armstrong Maloney, age 94, of Dawsonville, passed away January 8, 2014. She was a member of Winters Chapel United Methodist Church. During World War II, she contributed to the war effort by working as a "Rosie the Riveter" at the Bell Bomber Plant. Though she had many jobs, her greatest career was being a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother.



Survivors include her children, Barry and Denise Maloney of Dahlonega, Johnny and Kim Maloney of Dawsonville; grandchildren, Chris and Beverly Maloney, Scott and Tiffany Maloney, Mason Maloney, Kennady Mays, Nash Maloney; great grandchildren, Madison Maloney, Sydney Maloney, Ella Maloney, Kara Maloney; sister, Frances Armstrong Ross; sister-in-law, Sara Kinnard; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.



Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 12, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at Winters Chapel United Methodist Church. Services will be officiated by Rev. Shelia Preacher and Rev. James Sanders. Interment will follow at the Edison Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral on Saturday from 2 P.M.- 4 P.M. and again from 6 P.M. until 9 P.M.
