Henry Luther Stonecypher

Henry Luther Stonecypher, age 85, of Clarkesville, Georgia passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2014.



Mr. Stonecypher was born on January 20, 1928 in Clarkesville, Georgia; son of the late George and Lila Mae Funk Stonecypher. Along with his parents he was also preceded in death by his brother Ottis Stonecypher. Mr. Stonecypher was a member of Hills Crossing Baptist Church and was a United States Army, Air Corp Veteran of WW2. He was a retired machine engineer with Coats & Clark Inc. with eleven years of service, and was a former owner of "The Tastee Freez" in Toccoa. Mr. Stonecypher a member of Toccoa Masonic Lodge #309 F & A.M., also a member of Yaarb Temple York Rite Bodies, Toccoa Eastern Star CES #294 and is a honorary member of several area Masonic Lodges.



Survivors include loving wife of 66 years Adron Taylor Stonecypher, Clarkesville; daughter, Edna Stonecypher, Clarkesville; daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Dennis DuVan, Mesa AZ; sisters and brothers-in-law, Doris and Byrd Roper, Clarkesville, Dorothy and Walter Holbrook; two grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.



A Celebration of Life is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at Hills Crossing Baptist Church Activities Center with Rev. Walter Singleton officiating.
