Kathleen Godwin Register

Mrs. Kathleen Godwin Register, age 88, of Dahlonega, GA and formerly of Hahira, GA died Friday, January 3, 2014, at Friendship Health and Rehab in Cleveland, GA following a period of declining health.

Kathleen was born in Brooks County, GA Feb. 27, 1925 and lived most of her life in Hahira, GA.

She was the daughter of the late Jesse and Belle Hayes Godwin and was also preceded in death by her husband, John W. Register; daughter, Donna Faye Taylor; sisters, Emma Lou Amerson and Alene Reid; brother, Brantley Godwin.

Kathleen is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Joanne Ingram, Dahlonega, GA, Peggy Sue and Ed Parker, Saudi Arabia, Sandra Kay and Mack Simpson, Barney, GA, and Cynthia Belflower, Jacksonville, FL; son, Richard Register, Hahira, GA. 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and a number of other relatives also survive.

A graveside funeral service for Kathleen is scheduled for 3 PM Saturday, January 4, 2014 at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery in Hahira, GA.
