Judy Charlene Anderson Lance

Judy Charlene Anderson Lance, age 64, of Dahlonega, GA, died Friday, January 3, 2014, at Chestatee Regional Hospital in Dahlonega, GA following an extended illness.

Charlene was a native and lifelong resident of Lumpkin County.

Charlene worked at the Smith House for a while and Mother's Country Kitchen. In her later years, she was a stay at home house wife.

She was a member of Dahlonega Church of God.

Charlene was the daughter of the late John Wilson Anderson and Katherine Ward Anderson and was preceded in death by her sister, Joyce Anderson Eaton; brothers, Gary Lamar Anderson and James Winfred Anderson.

She is survived by her husband, Roy E. "Jeep" Lance, Dahlonega, GA; son, Jeffery Lance, Dahlonega; daughters, Denise Chester, Dawsonville, GA and Donna Turner, Cumming, GA; brother, Russell Anderson, Lula; sisters, Sandra Mimbs, East Point, GA and Brenda Sue Powell, Dahlonega; brother, Stanley Anderson, Dahlonega. Charlene is also survived by four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Numerous other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Charlene are scheduled for 2 PM Sunday, January 5, 2014, at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega, GA.

Rev. Lyman Caldwell will officiate.

Interment will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Dahlonega.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega on Saturday, January 4, 2014 from 5 PM until 9 PM and again on Sunday from 10 AM until 2 PM.
