Thomas Wilton Butler, Jr.

Thomas Wilton Butler, Jr., age 85, of Dawsonville, passed away on Friday, January 3, 2014 at his residence following an extended illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday, January 5, 2014 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Chestatee Baptist Church Cemetery. Reverend Cecil Reeves, Reverend Steve Chadwick and Reverend Herman Smith will officiate. The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 4, 2014 from 3 - 9 pm and Sunday, January 5, 2014 from 9:00 am till 1:00 pm, prior to the service, at the funeral home.

Mr. Butler was born June 22, 1928 in Gainesville, Georgia to the late Thomas Wilton Butler, Sr. and Tannie Stewart Butler. He was retired from Bill Elliott Enterprise and was a member of Chestatee Baptist Church. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Bobby Butler.

Mr. Butler is survived by his wife of 63 years, Noveleen Butler of Dawsonville, sons & daughters-in-law, Tommy & JoAnn Butler, Stanley & Nancy Butler and Terry & Donna Butler, all of Dawsonville, grandchildren, Greg Butler, Jessica Butler, Burt Butler, Hunter Butler and Jesse Turner and 5 great-grandchildren.
