James Henry Yawn

James Henry Yawn, age 72 of Murrayville, passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at Gold City Nursing Home following an extended illness.


Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend John Rayburn will officiate. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 3, 2014 from 5 - 8 pm at the funeral home.


Mr. Yawn was born August 16, 1941 in Tifton, Georgia to the late Jesse Coleman Yawn and Ella Denby Yawn. He was retired from Kings Delight as an Electrician and attended The River Community Church.


Mr. Yawn is survived by his wife, Lizzie Yawn of Murrayville, daughters, Crissie Yawn of Murrayville and Jill (Kim) Wilson of Senoia, Georgia, sons, Randy (Regina) Yawn of Sharpsburg, Georgia, Michael Yawn and Lamar Yawn, both of Murrayville, two sisters, Joyce and Louise and brother, Robert. James took special pride in raising his grandchildren, Holli and Daniel and dearly loved all his grandchildren, Jayden, Autumn, Eric, Andrew and Anthony, he also had several great-grandchildren.
