Charles 'Gene' Jenkins

Mr. Charles "Gene" Jenkins, age 85, of Buford, GA passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2013. He is survived by his wife of sixty-four years, Edith Gordon Jenkins, Dawsonville, GA; sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne and Debbie Jenkins, Buford, GA and Daniel and Denise Jenkins, Buford, GA; daughter, Hawa Liberty, Lawrenceville, GA; grandchildren, Jennifer Jenkins, Shelley and Keith Randall, Carey Jenkins and Stephen Jenkins; great grandson, Noah Randall; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Jenkins was born September 13, 1928 in Clarkesville, GA. He was a 1946 graduate of Fulton High School in Atlanta, GA. He was retired from General Motors Assembly Plant in Doraville, GA and a member of U.A.W. Local 10. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 2:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Steve McCullough officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, January 4, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Gene Jenkins.
