Edison Jones "Bo" Woodward, Jr.

Mr. Edison Jones "Bo" Woodward, Jr., of Cumming, GA, died Monday, December 30, 2013 at Friendship Nursing Home in White County.

"Bo" was born in Dahlonega, GA May 1, 1929. He had been a resident of Forsyth County since 1970. He was a retired carpenter and was of the Baptist faith.

He was the son of the late Edison Jones Woodward, Sr. and Jimmy Lela Davis Woodward and was also preceded in death by his wife, Lena Evelyn Ramey Woodward; an infant brother; Gene Woodward, brother; Wilda Lee Woodward Burson and Irma Frances Woodward Jackson, sisters; grandchildren, Shannon McKeller and Nicki Barton.

"Bo" is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Gene and Gale McCoy, of Morrow, GA; daughters, Gayle Woodward Vessell, of Jonesboro, GA; Cheryl Barton, of Cumming, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara Joyce and Bob Anderson, of Dawsonville, GA; Karen Waters and Jeff Cappis, of Decatur, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Eddie and Kayla Woodward, of Dahlonega, GA; brothers and sister-in-law, Ren and Martha Woodward, of Dahlonega, GA; Hugh Woodward, of Dahlonega, GA.; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren and a number of other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for "Bo" are scheduled for 2 PM Thursday, January 2, 2014 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega, GA.

Rev. Lyman Caldwell will officiate.

Interment will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Dahlonega, GA.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega on Wednesday, January 1, 2014 from 5 PM until 9 PM.
