Barbara E. Ryder

Mrs. Barbara E. Ryder, age 77, Buford, GA passed away Sunday, December 29, 2013. She was preceded in death by her parents, Abner Banks and Ollie Banks, sister Mary Rearick, brothers Clarence Banks and Bunyan "Preach" Banks. She is survived by her husband of thirty six years, Joe Ryder, Buford, GA; children, Fred and Carol Banks, Dacula, GA, Colleen Johnson, Flowery Branch, GA, Anita Kerr, Flowery Branch, GA; seven grandchildren, Wesley Johnson, Brandon Johnson, Andrew Banks, Michael Banks, Felicia Sewell, Michael Stewart, Clarissa Ryder; six great-grandchildren; sister, Juanita Lord; special nephew, Charles and Doris Banks, Buford, GA; special nieces, Jan Parker, Buford, GA; and Clarice and Richard Breedlove, Buford, GA; other nieces and nephews and cousins. Mrs. Ryder was born June 25, 1936 in Buford, GA. She received her education at Buford High School. She was retired from Georgian Art Lighting with over twenty-four years of service and was of the Baptist Faith.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 1, 2014 in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Pirkle officiating. Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens, Buford, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from11:00 AM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, December 31, 2013.
