Norma Erwin Hobbs

Norma Erwin Hobbs of Buford, GA passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2013. Norma enjoyed working in the financial services industry for more than 45 years and received various professional designations and awards, including Charted Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial Consultant from the American College, as well as Fellow Life Management Institute. She also enjoyed many years of volunteer work with various religious, civic and professional organizations.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert and Meda Erwin, as well as a brother, Deryll Erwin, all of Calhoun, GA. She is survived by her sister and best friend Faye Massey and brother-in-law David Massey of Buford, GA, sister, Gail Miller, brothers and sisters-in-law Ned and Edie Erwin of Oklahoma City, OK, Dan and Janice Erwin of Cornelia, GA, Larry and Chris Erwin of Calhoun, GA, and sister-in-law, Jean Erwin of Calhoun, GA. Norma is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews, especially niece Brandi Selman, her husband David Selman and their children Summer and Levi Selman.

Norma's life will be celebrated at a service to be held Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 1:00 pm at St. Mary and St. Martha of Bethany Episcopal Church, 4346 Ridge Road, Buford, GA 30519, followed by a reception in the fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pup & Cat Company (a no-kill humane society), P.O. Box 1987, Winder, GA 30680 in memory of Norma Erwin Hobbs.
