Douglas Edwin Wood Sr

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. Douglas Edwin Wood Sr., age 70, of Hoschton, who passed away on Friday, December 27, 2013. Mr. Wood was born in Hoschton, GA, a son to the late Edwin D. "Tapp" Wood and the late Grace Elizabeth Wood Wood. Mr. Wood was an electrician who owned and operated Wood Electric.

Survivors include his wife, Vera Mae Wetherford Wood of Hoschton; daughter and son-in-law, Jackie and Tim Taffar of Hoschton; son, Eddie Wood of Hoschton; brother, David Wood and Denise of Jefferson; 4 grandchildren, Seth, Hannah, Sarah, Silas and nephew, Christopher Wood and Joy.

The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, December 30, 2013 at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Taffar officiating. The visitation will be held on Sunday evening from 6-9pm at the funeral home.
