Rovine Humphrey Gilder

Rovine Humphrey Gilder, age 74 of Lula, passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2013 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.


Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, January 2, 2014 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Westview Cemetery, Lula. Mr. Jimmy Manders and Mrs. Linda Manders will officiate. The family will receive friends and family on Wednesday, January 1, 2014 from 2 - 4 pm and 6 - 8 pm at the funeral home.


Mrs. Gilder was born November 10, 1939 in Duplin, North Carolina to the late George Alan Humphrey and Rosa Guinn Humphrey. She was a homemaker and a member of Grace & Truth Pentecostal Church. Rovine was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Jim, Lehmon and N. L. Humphrey and her sister, Angeline Arnold.


Mrs. Gilder is survived by her husband, George Gilder of Lula, daughter and son-in-law, Teresa Kaye & Ricardo Sawyer of Flowery Branch, sons & daughters-in-law, Eddie & Jennifer Gilder of Knoxville, Tennessee and Christopher & Donna Gilder of Gainesville, son, Mark Gilder of Lula, 15 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and sister, Mable Haught of Jacksonville, North Carolina.
