Obituary Date: Wednesday, December 25, 2013
Mr. John Morris Camp, age 78, of Gainesville, Georgia, passed away peacefully in the arms of Jesus, Wednesday, December 25, 2013 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11:30 am Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Corinth Baptist Church with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The Reverend Clifford Allen and Reverend Wayne Roper will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Friday, December 27, 2013 at the funeral home.
Mr. Camp was born July 8, 1935 in Duluth, GA; he was the son of the late C.J.W Camp and Georgia Bell (Bradford) Camp. He served in the United States Army in Germany. He was a member of Corinth Baptist Church. He was the owner/operator of POWRXPRESS in Gainesville. He was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother; and son-in-law, Shannon Simpson.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, June (Moore) Camp of Gainesville; daughter, Julie (Camp) Simpson of Oakwood; son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey Morris Camp and Tamera, of Tacoma, WA; grandchildren, Chase and Ansley Simpson, of Gainesville; Siena Camp; Madison, Sammie and Spencer Putnam of Tacoma, WA; brother, James Camp of Cumming and number of nieces and nephews also survive.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations to be made to the Corinth Baptist Church building fund 3590 Thompson Bridge Road Gainesville, GA 30506.
