Mildred Estelle Phillips

Mildred Estelle Phillips, age 75 of Gainesville, passed away on Monday, December 23, 2013 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a brief illness.


Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, December 28, 2013 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Alta Vista Cemetery. Major Jim Smith and Major Robert Hopper will officiate. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 27, 2013 from 2 - 4 pm and 6 - 8 pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Phillips was born August 13, 1938 in Gainesville, Georgia to the late Janie Ogle Howington. She was retired from the Salvation Army Thrift Store and was a member of Salvation Army Church.

Mrs. Phillips is survived by her daughter & son-in-law, Denise & Bobby Alvarez of Anthem, Arizona, son, Shane Phillips of Gainesville, brothers & daughters-in-law, Richard & Janice Howington and Homer & Mary Howington, sister & brother-in-law, Phyllis & Ricky Woods, sisters, Regina Pressley and Colleen Williamson, grandchildren, Christopher Allison, Ryan Phillips, Stephen Jarrard and Tori Abrams and many nieces and nephews.
