Mary Ellen Barrett Dutton,

Mrs. Mary Ellen Barrett Dutton, age 73 of 110 Erin Lane, Pickens, South Carolina passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at Heritage Healthcare of Toccoa.

A daughter of the late Ernest A. and Rachel McCroskey Barrett, she was born November 29, 1940 in Stephens County, Georgia where she lived most of her life. She retired from the Food Service Business and was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Henry Mitchell and by her second husband, Larry Dutton.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Ernest and Linda Mitchell of Pickens, South Carolina; three grandchildren; five brothers and sisters-in-law, Glenn and Micky Barrett of Easley, South Carolina, Melvin and Patricia Barrett of Eastanollee, Georgia, Lloyd and Janice Barrett of Starr, South Carolina, Hubert and Linda Barrett of Central, South Carolina and Horace and Tina Barrett of Walhalla, South Carolina; two sisters and brother-in-law, Faye and Junior Bryant of Norris, South Carolina and Elaine Gilliam of Greer, South Carolina.

Funeral services will be Thursday, December 19, 4 O'clock PM in the Hillcrest Chapel of Acree-Davis Funeral Home with the Reverend Jerrell Beatty officiating.

The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Thursday from 3 PM until the service time.
