Mr. William Kelly Barnard, age 61, of Duluth, GA, passed away peacefully the morning of Tuesday, December 17, 2013, surrounded by his loving family.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 am Friday, December 20, 2013 at Memorial Park North Riverside Chapel with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The Reverend Dana Davis and Dr. Bill Coates will officiate. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm Thursday, December 19, 2013 at the funeral home.
William "Bill" was born October 28, 1952 in Chicago, IL; he was the son of the late George and Lucille (Kuhlman) Barnard. He graduated from Loyola Academy and attended Saint Norbert's College. Bill was active outdoorsmen; enjoying snow skiing, hiking, boating, water sports and all things that nature had to offer. Bill married Angela Parks of Gainesville, GA, daughter of Helen and Curtis Parks in 1993 and lived in Duluth until his death. He attended Gwinnett Community Church.
Bill is survived by his wife Angela (Parks) Cain-Barnard; daughter, Ashley Chandler Barnard; son, Parks Kelly Barnard all of Duluth, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Barry and Pam Barnard of Dublin, OH; sisters and brothers-in-law, Kathy and Jeff Bodine, Dubuque, IA; Patti and Gary Osborne, Elkhorne, NE; Maureen and Paul DiClemente, Gurnee, IL; brother, Brian Barnard, Antioch, IL; brother-in-law, Mike Parks and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.
