Sara Nell Moore King

Sara Nell Moore King, 86 of Clayton, GA, formerly of Carlton, GA, passed away December 15, 2013.

Mrs. King was born in Elbert County, the daughter of the late Frank Simmons Moore Jr. and Alrice Cheek Moore.

Sara Nell came to Carlton as a boarding student at Carlton School, where she met Roy Franklin King. She soon became a young war bride. They spent almost 50 years together, until his death in 1991. They made their home in Carlton, where she spent her time devoted to her family, friends and church.

She was a member of Carlton Baptist Church and The Loyalty Sunday School Class.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Bill Moore, sister, Kathryn LaBarreare, and son-in-law Carl Paul.

She is survived by two daughters, Sylvia Paul of Carlton and Kathy English (Al) of Clayton; four grandchildren, Keith Paul of Comer, Carla Jennings (Ron) of Colbert, Aaron English and Russ English, both of Clayton. She also leaves four great-grandchilden: Kayla Hobbs-Messink, Wesley Paul, Casey Hobbs and Will Jennings. A great-great grandchild is expected in June. She had many dear nieces, nephews and friends.

The family will receive friends at Beck Funeral Home in Clayton, GA, Tuesday, December 17, 2013 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM and at Carlton Baptist Church, Carlton, GA on Wednesday December 18, 2013 from 1:30 PM until 3:00 PM.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM December 18, 2013 at Carlton Baptist Church with Rev. Dwight Duhon and Layman Ron Jennings officiating. Burial will follow in the Carlton Cemetery.
