Mabel Shirley Holbrooks

Mrs. Mabel Shirley Holbrooks, age 73 of 148 Eastanollee School Road, Eastanollee, Georgia passed away Sunday, December 15, 2013 at Stephens County Hospital.

A daughter of the late Wilmer and Jewell Ward Shirley, she was born March 2, 1940 in Stephens County, Georgia where she lived all her life. She was employed with Penline Garment for a number of years and later with McDonald's. She was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by a son, Richard "Rick" Holbrooks in 2010.

Survivors include two daughters, Joy Culpepper and Jeannie Holbrooks both of Toccoa, Georgia; three sons and daughters-in-law, Brian and Mandi Holbrooks, Jimmy & Alesia Holbrooks and Greg Holbrooks all of Eastanollee, Georgia; the father of her children, Wade Holbrooks of Toccoa, Georgia; fifteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Edith and Marvin Wilbanks of Toccoa, Georgia.

Memorial services will be Tuesday, December 17, 2 O'clock PM in the Hillcrest Chapel of Acree-Davis Funeral Home with the Reverend Jerrell Beatty officiating.

The family will be at their respective home and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Monday from 6 PM to 8 PM.

Flowers are to be omitted. Memorials may be made to the Georgia Sheriff's Boys Ranch, 5671 Boy's Ranch Road, Hahira, Georgia 31632 in memory of Mrs. Mabel Shirley Holbrooks.
