Talmer B. Standridge
Obituary Date: Friday, December 13, 2013
Our precious Daddy, grandpa, great-grandpa and great-great-grandpa, Talmer Branson Standridge, went to be with Jesus early on Friday morning, December 13, 2013 at the home of his daughter in Leesburg, GA. He had lived a long and vibrant life of 100 years and almost 10 months. He was born on February 22, 1913 in Clermont, GA to Branson and Lonnie Staton Standridge.
He is survived by two daughters, Vivian McKay (Larry) and Linda Black, six grandchildren, Robyn Wentworth, Denise King, Larry McKay, Sarah Patat (Phillip), Amy Smock (Dennis) and Johnette Appleby (Butch). He is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. He is survived by three sisters, Jane Brown, Dot Dorsey and Vera Garrett (Willis), and sister-in-law, Louise Standridge as well as numerous nieces and nephews all of whom he loved very much.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Oma Rogers Standridge, son-in-law, John Black, brothers, Warren (Bud) Standridge, Dewey Standridge, Ben Standridge, Fred Standridge, Howard Standridge and sister, Ruth Rogers .
Pallbearers will be his great-grandsons.
Visitation will be Monday, December 16 from 5:00-8:00 PM at Barrett Funeral Home with funeral service at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, December 17 at Center Grove Baptist Church, Westmoreland Road, Cleveland, GA.
The family expresses their appreciation for the prayers sent up, love shown and the support from his friends in Cleveland, Leesburg and Athens.
