Raymond "Ray" E. Gregg III

Raymond "Ray" E. Gregg III, 58, passed away in Cumming on Tuesday, December 10, 2013. Born May 9, 1955, in Potsdam, NY, to Patricia (Burwell) and Raymond Gregg, he graduated from high school in Horicon, WI. He attended Southwest State University in Marshall, MN.
Ray lived in many different places over the years including Houston, TX, Dayton, OH, Chicago, IL, and finally settling in the Roswell/Cumming, GA area in 1991. Ray (also known as "Greggie"), worked for Deere & Company and the Shell Corporation after college. He then joined the Home Depot and was part of their incredible growth and success over the past 22 years.
Ray attended the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Cumming, GA. He was an avid 4-wheeler, belonging to the ATV Jamboree where many family memories were made. Ray will be especially remembered for his quick wit, his spirit of adventure, and for having a tenacious soul. This unique combination of traits was magnetic. For family and friends, Ray will be remembered as being authentic and always willing to help others.
Survivors include his two children, Erin of Duluth, GA, and Casey of Dawsonville, GA, accompanied by their mother Valeri Gregg; and one grandson, Brody. Ray was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Gregg. He also leaves behind his father, Raymond E. Gregg Jr of Horicon, WI; 9 younger siblings, Mary Kay (Tony) Westimayer, Betsy (Loren) Zuhlke, Kevin (Sue) Gregg, Colleen (Dave) Otto, Jon, Lisa (Mark) Killam, Leah, Michael, and Carrie Hoff; and a number of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A memorial will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, December 16, at the Christ the Redeemer Church in Dawsonville, GA. The family will receive friends at the church from 2:30
