Jean Marie Couget, Jr.

Mr. Jean Marie Couget, Jr., age 97 of Gainesville, passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center due to natural causes.

Memorial services are scheduled for Saturday, December 21, 2013 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with inurnment to follow in Memorial Park Lakeside Mausoleum.

Mr. Couget was born December 3, 1916 in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late Jean Marie Couget, Sr. and Ada Delaune Couget. He served in the U.S. Navy, U.S. Army, U.S. Air Corp and the U. S. Air Force and retired from Murphy Oil Company. Mr. Couget was of the Catholic Faith and was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Alice Couget and his brother, Daniel Couget.

Mr. Couget is survived by his wife of 69 years, Amy Couget of Gainesville, his son, Charles D. Couget, Sr. of Gainesville, grandson, Charles D. Couget, Jr. of Gainesville, daughter-in-law,. Yvonne P. Couget of Gainesville and sister-in-law, Doris Couget of New Orleans, Lousiana.
