Thomas M. Wiley, age 69 of Gainesville, passed away on Sunday, December 8, 2013 at his residence following a brief illness.
Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, December 12, 2013 at 3:00 pm at Blackshear Place Baptist Church with interment to follow in Hillside Gardens. Reverend Jeff Crook will officiate. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 from 2 - 4 pm and 6 - 8 pm at the funeral home.
Mr. Wiley was born May 23, 1944 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Gordon Chitwood and Jearldine Hall Chitwood. He was retired from Ford Motor Company and was a member of Blackshear Place Baptist Church. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Glenda Chitwood.
Mr. Wiley is survived by his wife, Ruby Wiley of Gainesville, his children, Rebecca & Earl Hampton of Glencoe, Kentucky, Katherine Wiley of Gainesville, Paul & Jamie Wiley of Aiken, South Carolina and Dean Wiley & Lindsey Lent of Leesville, South Carolina, grandchildren, Hannah Hampton, Rachel Hampton & Lucas Hampton, all of Glencoe, Kentucky, Owen Wiley and Teagan Wiley of Aiken, South Carolina, sister, Gloria Ann Chitwood of Warren, Michigan, brother, Stanley Chitwood of Warren, Michigan and many aunts & uncles.
