Lamar Davis

Mr. , age 83, of Cumming passed away at Tara Plantation, Monday, December 09, 2013. Mr. Davis was born April 27, 1930 in Coweta County, Georgia to the late Albert and Kate Davis. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict and was retired from General Electric after 33 years as an electrician. Mr. Davis attended Friendship Baptist Church in Cumming. He is preceded in death by his wife, Frances Nolan Davis.



Survivors include his children, Steve and Terri Davis of Douglasville, Bobby Davis of Lagrange, Jimmy Davis of Cumming, Becky and Ken Lee of Dacula and Janice and Jeff Hammack of Lawrenceville; a sister, Marianne Davis of Douglasville; 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.



Graveside services, with military honors, will be held Friday, December 13th at 2:00 p.m. at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home Thursday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. and Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
