Daniel Chad Thomas

Mr. Daniel Chad Thomas, age 35, of Alloway Place, Atlanta, Georgia, passed away Thursday, December 5, 2013, at Gentiva Hospice in Atlanta.

A son of Mrs. Dale Freeman and the late Edward James Thomas, he was born July 16, 1978 in Stephens County, Georgia having lived for most of his life in the Gumlog Community of Franklin County, Georgia. He was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church and had a love for reading books. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward James Thomas and by his grandparents, Junior and Sarah Thomason and Odis and Joyce Thomas.

He is survived by his mother and step-father, Dale and Leslie Freeman of Canon, Georgia, brother, Nick Adams of Gainesville, Ga., sister, Dana Bell of Canon, Ga., and by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon, 2:00 PM, at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Johnny Stowe and The Reverend Wayne Thomason officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Tony Thomason, Chris Brock, Tony Bell, Cody Bell, Walter Acuff, Josh Thomason, and Cameron Bell.

The family will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Freeman, Canon, Georgia, and will receive friends at The Acree-Davis Funeral Home from 6 until 8 p.m. on Sunday.
