Bertha Mae McCombs Solano

Bertha Mae McCombs Solano, age 68 of Gainesville, passed away on Monday, December 9, 2013 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.


Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at 7:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 from 5 - 7 pm, prior to the service at the funeral home.

Ms. Solano was born March 26, 1945 in Spartanburg, South Carolina to the late Euilas McCombs and Beulah Huntsinger McCombs. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist Faith.

Ms. Solano is survived by her children, Cynthia Carmona Garcia of Gainesville, Clarence Rhymer of South Carolina, Amanda Torres of Flowery Branch, Michael Kimbrell of South Carolina and Anna Zuares of Lula, sisters, Betty Hipp, Corine Hipp and Miriam Thompson, all of South Carolina, brother, Euilas McCombs of South Carolina, 10 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
