Mary Wayne Waters

Mrs. Mary Wayne Waters, age 102, of Buford, GA passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2013.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hershel Waters; and grandson, David Cagle. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Gloria and Doug Cagle, Sr. Marietta, GA; grandchildren, Doug Cagle, Jr. and wife Jackie Cagle, Marietta, GA; five great grandchildren, Candace Brown, David Cagle, Jr., Tristen Cagle, D'Anne Cagle-Heckert and Dalton Cagle; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mrs. Waters was born January 20, 1911 in Flowery Branch, GA. She was a retired insurance secretary. She was a former resident of Brookside Assisted Living in Buford, GA for several years. She was the oldest member of First Baptist Church of Buford.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 9, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. G. Stephen Wood officiating. Interment will follow in Alta Vista Cemetery in Gainesville, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, December 9, 2013 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
