Martha Maxwell Ferguson

Martha Maxwell Ferguson, age 94, of Baldwin, Georgia passed away on Monday, December 2, 2013.

Mrs. Ferguson was born in Banks County, Georgia on February 27, 1919; daughter of the late Logan P. Maxwell and Lizzie Stewart Maxwell of Baldwin. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Tom Ferguson; son, Charles Ferguson; three grandchildren, Jeff Haynie, Karen Haynie and Tyler Ferguson; son-in-law, Harvey Haynie. Mrs. Ferguson was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church and was a retired seamstress with Carwood Manufacturing. She was the oldest living member of Mountain View Baptist Church.

She is survived by daughter, Angie Haynie , Crawford, daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and Carter Brock, Baldwin; son and daughter-in-law, Anthony and Rachel Ferguson, Baldwin; son Buster Ferguson, Baldwin; eleven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. A special thanks goes to Sue Smith and other hospice care-givers.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 5, 2013 at Mountain View Baptist Church with Rev. Junior Robinson and Rev. Kenneth McEntire officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia.
