Brenda Willette McClellon

Brenda Willette McClellon, age 68, of Cornelia, Georgia passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2013, at her residence.

Mrs. McClellon was born in Cleveland, Georgia on September 14, 1945 to Thelma Tomlin Helton, of Cleveland and the late Roy Helton. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth Helton. Mrs. McClellon was of the Pentecostal faith. She was a loving and dedicated, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and homemaker.

In addition to her mother, she was survived by her husband, Lee McClellon, Cornelia; daughters and sons-in-law, Teresa and Ray Strickland, Cornelia, Susan and Bruce Benson, Cornelia, Sarina and Barry Collins, Cornelia; son, LeRoy McClellon, Demorest; sisters, Linda McKay, Rabun County, Deborah Worley, Cleveland; brothers, Phillip Helton, Junior Helton, Jerry Helton, Jimmy Helton, Danny Helton, all of Cleveland, Melvin Helton, Clermont; thirteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia with Rev. Clarence J. Reynolds and Rev. Julia Rautenberg. Interment will follow in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, December 3, 2013.
