Hayward Vandiver McGee

Hayward Vandiver McGee, age 86, of Lula, passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at Northridge Medical Center.
Born on September 26, 1927, in Asheville, North Carolina, he was a son of the late Ransom Vandiver and Fleecie Ussery McGee. Mr. McGee was formerly employed with Southeastern Highway Contractors as a heavy equipment mechanic and was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents, Mr. McGee was also preceded in death by his wife, Bertha Ann Keerse McGee; daughter, Terenna "Tinker" Watkins; brothers, John William McGee and Frank Curtis McGee; sisters, Mary Brown, JoNell Gill, Alma Louise McGee.
Survivors include sons, James R. McGee and Johnny McGee of Carnesville; son-in-law, John Watkins of Lula; sister, Carol Jean Davis of Toccoa; two grandchildren.
Graveside services are 11:00 am Friday, November 29, 2013, at Westview Cemetery in Lula with Rev. John Umberhant officiating.
