Zygmunt Frank Wieczorkowski Jr.

Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Mr. Zygmunt Frank Wieczorkowski Jr., age 63 of Cleveland. Mr. Wieczorkowski passed away Monday, November 25, 2013. "Ziggy" as he was known was born in Litisberg, Germany on April 23, 1950 to the late Zygmunt Wieczorkowski Sr. and Mary Koval. Ziggy was a man who loved his family and believed in he principles on which our nation was founded, in 1970, he entered the United States Marine Corp and served with pride during the Vietnam Conflict. After his time with the Marine Corps, Ziggy began his career with Exxon Mobil, in Shelton, Connecticut, he would remain there until his retirement in 2007, when he moved to White County. He enjoyed his retirement by spending precious time with his wife, children and grandson, and volunteering with the Friends of Georgia State Parks and Smithgall Woods.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Wieczorkowski of Cleveland; son, Sean Wieczorkowski also of Cleveland, daughters, April Santacroce of Naugatuck, CT., and Michele Wieczorkowski of Milford, CT.; brothers, Henry Wieczorkowski of Seymour, CT., John Wieczorkowski, Richard Wieczorkowski and Stanley Wieczorkowski all of Shelton, CT.; sister , Christine Terilizzie of Orange, CT. as well as his grandson, Christian Tyler Wieczorkowski Good .

Ziggy will be interred at later date in the Georgia National Cemetery with full military honors. No local public services are planned.
