Joann McClain

Mrs. Joann McClain, age 70, of Dahlonega, GA died Monday, November 18. 2013 at Northside Hospital Forsyth in Cumming, GA.

Joann was a native and lifelong resident of Lumpkin County. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Dahlonega Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.

Joann was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Rider and a brother, Ray Rider.

She is survived by her husband, James McClain, Dahlonega, GA; daughter and son-in-aw, Dee and Chris Dyer, Dahlonega, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Kaye McClain, Dahlonega, GA; mother, Pauline Rider, Dahlonega, GA; grandchildren, Blake Sargent, Brittany McClain, and Riley Dyer. A large number of other relatives also survive.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 from 12 Noon until 4 PM.

At 4 PM there will be a short service at the funeral home with Phil Donehoo officiating followed by a private interment at Hightower Baptist Church Cemetery in Lumpkin County.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made at United Community Bank to the world wide work of Jehovah's Witnesses who distribute bibles free in over 110 languages in 235 lands.
