Bobbie Nell Underwood Sosebee, 77, of Talmo, died in her home on Monday, November 11, 2013. She was born June 19, 1936, in Pendergrass, Georgia, the daughter of Rufus Underwood and Beatrice Bryant Underwood Pethel. On October 13, 1953 she was united in marriage to Billy Jackson Sosebee, Sr. in Walhalla, South Carolina. Bobbie was the owner and operator of Sosebee's Flower Shop in Oakwood, Georgia for 10 years and worked as a florist for many years following.
She is survived by her husband Billy Sosebee of Talmo; two children, Jackie Cooper of Jefferson and BJ Sosebee of Talmo; six grandchildren, Lew Puckett, Scott Puckett, Beth Cooper, Johnathan Cooper, Katie Sosebee, and JT Sosebee; six great grandchildren, Nathan Puckett, Emily Puckett, Gracie Puckett, Lauren McMillan, Kristin McMillan and David Guthrie; and two brothers, Harold Underwood of Talmo and Freddie Pethel of Jefferson.
She was preceded in death by her father Rufus Underwood and mother Beatrice Bryant Underwood Pethel, stepfather Fred Pethel, daughter Debbie Puckett, sisters Kate Heberlen and Willene Waters and brothers Sam Underwood and David Underwood.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 13 at 2:30 p.m. at Talmo Baptist Church with Reverend Mark Spence and Rev. Charles Jenkins officiating. Visitation will begin on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. to greet relatives and friends.
