Roger Elliott

Roger Lee Elliott, age 66, of Cumming passed away Friday Nov. 8, 2013 at his residence following an extended illness.

Mr. Elliott was born January 2, 1947 in Dawsonville to the late Homer Lee and Marie Hamby Elliott. He worked as a salesman for P.F.G. Milton Foods and was a member of Mayfield Baptist Church. Mr. Elliott was an Ordained Baptist Minister. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Elliott, sister & brother in law, JoAnne & Jimmy Taylor.

Survivors include wife, Teresa Elliott of Cumming, daughter & son-in-law, Sonya & Len Smeltzer of Gainesville, daughter, Dana Davis of Gainesville, son, Matt Suggs of Gainesville, son & daughter-in-law, Randy & Jessica Suggs of Gainesville, grandchildren, Kimberly Smeltzer, Elijah & Daniel Davis, Addison Suggs, Caleb Suggs & Riley Suggs, brother & sister-in-law, Ronald & Diane Elliott of Virginia, sisters & brothers in law, Linda & Hubert Cranford of Cumming, Carolyn & Larry Collins of Gainesville, a number of nieces, nephews and other family also survive.

The family will receive friends from 6-9 Saturday November 9, 2013 at the Memorial Park Funeral Home. The body will lie in state from 1:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the church on Sunday.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday November 10, 2013 at the Mayfield Baptist Church with Todd Robson, Rev. Nathan Martin & Rev. John Lance officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
