Doris Shelton Crumley

Doris Shelton Crumley, age 77 from Nicholson passed away Thursday morning, November 7th, 2013, surrounded by family. She was born in Whitehall, Georgia on May 13, 1936. She was the daughter of the late Willie Frank Shelton, Sr. and Sarah Harris Shelton of Farmington, Georgia. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Charles Samuel Crumley, her children, Janie and Dennis Nix, Colbert, Ga., Johnny and Donna Hill, Maysville, Ga.. Janet and Ryan Paul, Crawford, Ga., Jackie and Todd Brock, Nicholson, Ga., Samantha and Brian Spivey, Colbert, Ga., Hope and Grey Atchley, Nicholson, Ga., and brother Clifford Robert Shelton, Woodbridge, Virginia, 22 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, Willie Frank Shelton, Jr. She was a member of Community Baptist Church in Ila, Ga., retired from Dupont, Athens, Ga., and her most recent service was as a volunteer at Athens Regional Medical Center. Services will be on November 9th at 2:00pm at Ivie Funeral Home in Commerce, Georgia. Visitation will be from 7:00pm until 9:00pm on November 8th.
