Albert Leonard Hardy

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. Albert Leonard Hardy, age 93, of Jefferson, who went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 6, 2013. Mr. Hardy was born in Banks County, Georgia, a son to the late Miles Leonard Hardy and the late Bessie Jane Bennett Hardy. Mr. Hardy retired from the Jefferson Mills, where he was a supervisor, and was a member of the Victory Baptist Church in Jefferson. Mr. Hardy was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in WWII. Mr. Hardy is preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Dlean Ledford Hardy, his seven brothers, Clyde, Roy, Ralph, Marvin, Talmadge, Robert and Charles, and his three sisters, Mamie, Nannie and Eva.

Survivors include daughters and sons in law, Brenda and John Davis of Smyrna, Sandra and Tom Venable of Jefferson, Vickie and David Flood of Buford, Son, Al Hardy of Jefferson. Grandchildren: Jill Abernathy (Brad), Scott Davis, Kerri Davis, Erika Radek, Stephanie Miller, and nine great grandchildren.

The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Rev. Swayne Cochran officiating. The burial will follow at the Jackson Memorial Park with Johnny Davis, Tom Venable, David Flood, Scott Davis, Brad Abernathy and Gauge Futter honored as pallbearers. The visitation will be held on Friday evening from 5-7pm at the funeral home.

Flowers are optional and memorials may be made to the Ebenezer Methodist Church, 1368 Ebenezer Church Rd., Jefferson, GA 30549.
